He began his career in boutique M&A, gaining hands-on experience in corporate transactions, before moving to a private equity investment group, where he led investments in the telecommunications sector with a focus on strategic growth and value creation.

Mara is responsible for decentralized strategies and managing risks tied to smart contracts. Having spent years deep in the crypto trenches, he combines practical experience with close knowledge of crypto teams, which gives him unique insights into niche and new DeFi strategies. His background allows him to navigate complex strategies, evaluate risks with precision, and identify opportunities that are often overlooked in the broader market.

Honza studied Financial Mathematics at Masaryk University, where he developed a strong analytical and quantitative foundation.

He began his career at one of the leading insurance groups, gaining insight into risk management and financial operations. He later transitioned to private equity, where he specialized in building advanced financial models and applying his quantitative expertise to support investment strategies.

James is an independent director of several Gibraltar-based funds investing in international capital markets, digital assets, and DeFi strategies. A UK-qualified Chartered Accountant, he spent 17 years at Citigroup in London and Frankfurt, holding senior roles across equity derivatives, risk management, and capital markets operations. He also served on the boards of Citibank International PLC and Citibank AG Germany. In 2021, he completed a Professional Certificate in Blockchain & Smart Contracts at the University of Gibraltar, strengthening his expertise in digital assets.
